a day to remember

On 3 May, went for a shopping spree with zee girls to Bukit Bintang.
There's no particular reason for this date (perhaps cz I have stuff to buy), and hence, we dated!
We went to Kuala Lumpur by public transport, thank God it was very frequent and on time as well!

The day was awesome, like SERIOUSLY!
A day where we laugh so much, shop for our stuff, ate so full, walked so much.
Most of all, is the fellowship together!
It was what you call, love.

We had lunch at Suki-ya for lunch, it's a buffet style shabu shabu.
I love the beef!
We ordered so much, and we struggled a bit finishing them.
I just know, I ate lots of beef, beef and beef! Eunoki as well :P

I didn't grab much stuff from the spree. just two bottoms and a top.

Second time going to this shop named Mirrorcle @ Fahrenheit88
I like their clothes there. It's not hard for me to get a few pieces that I like :)
Recommended.

We went home at the peak hour at it was raining so heavily.
Our shoes were all wet! Gosh!
We are smart enough to bring umbrellas though.
Teeheee.

I would call this a day to remember and we took lots pictures too! :)

Energise Your Life

I came across this article of Readers Digest last week. Its talking about 20 tips health experts beg you not to skip. I find it rather interesting and informational and decided to share it here!

1. Go ahead and drink more coffee!
Drink it black or at most put a little skim milk in it.

2. Pack in protein in the morning
Protein packed breakfast will not end up in quick hunger and chewing snacks throughout a day! High-protein options are hard-boiled eggs or Greek yoghurt.

3. Pump up your potassium
Potassium stuff are like, a cup of milk, two bananas, a quarter of avocado, and a half cup of raisins, cocoa, dried apricots, fish, prunes, spinach, plain yoghurt and potatoes with skin!

4. Pick up some sleep shades
Blue light emitted by our devices are No good. Especially the one or two hours before sleep. So, wear blue-light-filtering glasses while using our computer or phone before bed.

5. Stand up and count to 60
People who take most standing breaks throughout a day, even as brief as 60 seconds have SLIMMER WAISTS!!

6. Get results in 20 seconds
The difference between having a goal and actually accomplishing it is just 20 seconds. For example, if you want to go for an exercise in the morning, place your shoes or outfit beside your bed, or if you want to praise someone, put a thank you note on your table first.

7. Early to bed, early to eat
Being a night owl might increase your waistline. This is gonna be tough!

8. To feel better, imagine the worst
You'll experience stronger feelings or gratitude and happiness when you think about living without the people and things you love. Don't be a pessimist though :)

9. Worship morning sun, seek refuge in the afternoon
Go under the sun in the morning, hide from the sun in the afternoon! Don't get sunburned!

10. Beware sugar-free traps
Well, sugar-free sweets and juices ain't healthy. It's bad!

11. For a good night's rest, keep your cool
People that wear a cap to keep their brain cool can sleep better. This is amazing!

12. Take a walk to improve your memory
A 45 minutes walk three time a week is good enough. I find this rather tough to achieve.

13. Hit the yoga mat
I don't do yoga by the way.

14. Focus less on your kids, more on your spouse
Don't forget your spouse! They need company too!

15. Start your day with chocolate
A square of dark chocolate has just the right amount of the cacao alkaloid theobromine to wake you up! Don't consume too much! :P

16. Snack on real energy foods
Eg: two multigrain crackers, spread with two tablespoon of crunchy organic peanut butter and one wpoon of low-sugar blueberry jam. A thick one!

17. Rev up with the spice of life
hot chillis are low in kilo-joules!

18. Eat more quinoa
It is rich in protein, fibre and hard-to-get magnesium, which protect against hypertension

19. Switch to grass-fed beef
It is more expensive, but I believe you can find them! Ask the waiter/waitress!

20. To boost self-esteem, get into a friends's head
Most people have a much easier time being self-compassionate if they pretend to be someone else.

sticky notes

While browsing through my phone's gallery, I found many pictures of sticky notes in it. These sticky notes are written by me, and my friends. We used to write notes for ourselves and friends, and stick them on each others tables, as a reminder or as an encouragement. I know it's a memory and I taken pictures of them.

Everyone will have different groups of friends in different phrase of life. Some will only last for a season, yet some last till now. And whenever you see each other, there will be never ending topics. Friends that you played together since you're a kid, friends you had in primary school, then secondary school. Continuing with high school friends, college ones, university ones, course mates, uni mates, part time colleagues, your colleagues from different companies, not forgetting your relatives. So many many many friends. Sometimes, they end up knowing each other.

Whether you're an extrovert or an extreme introvert, you cannot run away from having friends. They play an important part in life. They bring much joy to our lives, that we cannot deny. Whether we had some unhappy past with them, it hurts because they are someone dear to us.

We ought to appreciate our friends. Remember, a little consideration, a little thought, for others makes all the differences :)

To share some sticky notes during my pre-university life :P

I miss sticky notes :)
